This picture was captured on the north side of Lake Tyrrell in April 2024 after considerable rainfall had flushed the usual pink colours away. Although the dried white salt appears to be falling from the top of the photo, in fact, the patterns and shapes were created by a stream flowing into the lake from the bank at the base of the image.
