Not all Victorian salt lakes are pink – depending on the time of year and type of algae in the water, colours can range from white, through orange, yellow, brown and white, even to blue. This image was captured over Lake Weering in central Victoria and shows the wonderful, predominantly yellow, water colour intensified as it evaporates and recedes.
