This image is one of a series of images captured on a four day shoot on a commission to create artwork for the lobby of a new 4 star hotel in Melbourne. I toured the salt lakes of the Mallee, looking for repeating patterns and textures that would be used as the basis for a show stopping piece of art incorporating different materials and surfaces. These are some of my favourites from the trip. I love the repetition of colour and form that extends through the images, combined with just the right amount of random chaos that nature can bring.
